Paula lives in Moose Factory with her family and is the proud mother of one daughter, Nikamuwin. She has worked in health and social services for 25 years in various frontline positions and all levels of management. Her genealogy research began with her grandmother, Laura Rickard. For years, Paula kept family history notes, and in 2016, she began building a family tree with about 13,000 people on it today. Her interest in genealogy helped her learn how her ancestors lived along with their customs, beliefs, family, and inter-community connections. Paula firmly believes that knowing our family history is culture and helps set the path forward.
