Lynn Jones

Community Engagement Coordinator, National Centre for Truth and Reconciliation

Lynn Jones is the Community Engagement Coordinator with the Archive unit at the National Centre for Truth and Reconciliation, where she works with communities researching missing children and burial sites.  Her family comes from God’s Lake Narrows First Nation in treaty 5 territory.  She is the youngest sibling from a family of eight and is an intergenerational Survivor.  She has been married over 25 years, has one son and resides in Selkirk, MB., where she was raised.  She previously worked in Manitoba Justice for 17 years prior to coming to the National Centre for Truth and Reconciliation.  Lynn has a background in Social Work and is a believer in lifelong learning both academically and through life experiences.  She has an extensive knowledge of justice and trauma , two of many issues facing Indigenous people today.
